R Zone
The Township of East Zorra-Tavistock has a zero tolerance policy that applies to all Township facilities. These facilities include the Township Administration Building, Community Centres, Parks, Trails, Recreation Centres, and any Township programs.
The R Zone policy enforces zero tolerance of violence, vandalism, and inappropriate behaviour.
The R in R Zone stands for Respect and Responsibility. Respect for yourself, respect for others, and responsibility for your actions.
When you see the R Zone logo, it is a reminder of the zero-tolerance policy, and that it applies to everyone - coaches, parents, players, performers, audiences, and visitors.

The R Zone applies to everyone! All community organizations and individuals on or using Township of East Zorra-Tavistock property. |
What type of incidents can or should be reported? |
No form of violence, vandalism or inappropriate behaviour is acceptable on municipal properties, in facilities or programs. Incidents involving the following should be reported:

How quickly should an incident be reported? |
Incidents should be reported within 24 hours to ensure timely resolutions. |
How and when should an incident be reported? |
If you are involved in or witness a situation at a Township facility, you can report it to a staff member is one is present. With your assistance, staff will complete a report. When a situation occurs at an outdoor facility (like a park) with no available staff, contact the Township office directly by:

What happens after a report has been made? |
Whether reported in person, through an organization, or online, the report will be logged by Township staff and will either be dealt with by the Township. |
What are some of the consequences that may occur? |
Each report will be reviewed on an individual basis. The nature and degree of discipline will be determined by the severity of the situation. |
