Significant Weather Event Declaration Ended - February 19, 2025

As of today (February 19, 2025) the Township's Significant Weather Event Declaration has officially ended. Thank you to all of our community members in East Zorra-Tavistock for their patience and cooperation during this time, and thank you to our Public Works team for their hard work and dedication towards keeping our community safe.

SIGNIFICANT WEATHER EVENT DECLARATION (pursuant to Section16.9 of Ontario Regulation 239/02, as amended)
The Township is declaring a Significant Weather Event in response the ongoing winter storm. This means that we’re working hard to clear snow, but the severe conditions are making it difficult to maintain roads and sidewalks to the minimum standards set out by the Province of Ontario (O. Reg 239/02).

2024-2025 Holiday Hours

The Township Administration Building will close on Tuesday December 24, 2024 at 12:00pm and reopen on Thursday January 2, 2025 at 8:30am. There will be no change to the regular Waste Collection schedule. Please note that controlled burning is suspended during this time and not permitted. Roads Maintenance Operation and Emergency Services will continue as normal throughout the Holiday Hours. The Township wishes everyone a safe, healthy and happy holiday season.
