Council Meeting Highlights - April 19, 2023

During the Meeting
- Council passed a resolution to support a motion by the Association of Ontario Road Supervisors regarding the opposition to Enbridge Gas's new utility locate fee.
- Council passed a resolution to support the City of Woodstock's resolution in favour of Bill 5 - Stopping Harassment by Local Leaders
- A delegation led by Frank McKay requesting hard surfacing of the 13th Line was presented to Council.
- A draft Municipal Alcohol Policy for the Township was discussed by Council. Council requested staff to make some minor adjustments and return with the amended policy at a future meeting.
- Council adopted a new Purchasing Card Policy for staff to make purchases on behalf of the Township in a more efficient and cost-effective way.
- Council approved a new one (1) year agreement with Innerkip Minor Ball regarding shared management facilities with the Township for Innerkip Park and associated facilities.
Planning Matters
Sitting as the Committee of Adjustment and then in public meeting, Council approved the zone change application below:
- Application for Zone Change ZN2-23-02. 615841 13th Line, Part Lot 14, Concession 12. Request to rezone the subject lands from ‘General Agricultural Zone (A2)’ to ‘Special General Agricultural Zone (A2-sp)’ to reduce the required Minimum Distance II (MDS II) setbacks from a Type A land use and from a Type B land use.
