On August 7, 1979, the Township of East Zorra-Tavistock was struck by a tornado, destroying homes & farm buildings in its path.
This Wednesday August 7th 2019 marks the 40th anniversary of the tornado. Many people vividly recall that day and the following video features some of the residents that were directly affected and a few residents that were part of the community events to clean up after the devastation
Many thanks to Carla Garrett, who produced the original video five years ago to mark the 35th anniversary of the tornado.
