CANWARN training session offers tips to outdoor enthusiasts on how to spot dangerous weather patterns
A free storm spotter training session is being offered this spring to Oxford County residents by Warning Preparedness Meteorologist Geoff Coulson. Through Coulson’s CANWARN training residents will learn how to recognize dangerous weather, how to identify various cloud formations, how to report concerning weather patterns to Environment Canada and tips on how to stay safe in dangerous weather.

This session is beneficial to anyone who spends time outdoors, including athletic coaches, referees and umpires, camp counsellors, lifeguards, boaters and hikers. Meteorological expert Geoff Coulson will be able to answer all weather-related questions and provide attendees with first-hand knowledge and guidance.
