Touch-a-plow events combine road safety with family fun

Free event will give kids a chance to sit in a snow plow while parents can learn about safe winter driving

If you’re looking for a fun and educational activity for the family over the holidays, the Oxford County Injury Prevention Team is hosting three “Touch-a-plow” events January 3-5.

Attendees will have the opportunity to get up close with a local plow while learning about important aspects of safe winter driving, including what to do (and what not to do) when driving behind a snow plow. Everyone is encouraged to bring their skates for a free public skate, sponsored by Tim Horton’s, once they’ve had a chance to view the snow plows up close.
