The 2017 Holiday Sharing Guide makes giving easy
The annual list identifies the most pressing needs of local food, gift and warm clothing drives
InformationOxford.ca and 211 have released the annual Holiday Sharing Guide for Oxford County to help the community share the joy this season. The guide is a complete listing of local donation drives being organized in the County, making it easier for residents to both give and get help.
In its seventh year, the Holiday Sharing Guide has grown to incorporate gift and clothing drives, hot meal and food programs, animal rescues, and even the Santa Clause parade drives in each host community. It also lists community organizations and events where people can seek assistance with food, clothing, shelter, gifts and financial support as the holiday season approaches.
People who are looking to offer donations can use the guide to find the right organizations or events in the “give help” section of the guide, including:
- Angel trees
- CP Holiday Train
- Food for Fines
Residents who need support this holiday season can seek assistance from one of the associations listed in the “get help” section of the guide, which offer:
- Winter outfitting
- Holiday toy distribution
- Medical care for sick or injured pets
- …And much more
Remember, the more community members that donate this holiday season, the more services there are available for those in need. Check out the Holiday Sharing Guide to learn more.
