Tell Us What You Think!

The Township is always looking for your input on programs and services.  Two-way communication is important in helping Council to set policy and provide programs and services that best serve residents and property owners.  While you can always contact Council and Staff using the Contact Us Page, there are times when we are looking for input on specific items.  This page contains information and links to current and past consultations.

The Township makes use of Survey Monkey to gather input.  Survey Monkey is easy and quick to use.  It also includes analytical tools so the data can be analysed and presented to Council along with other information related to the matter being considered.  For those that would prefer a paper survey, that can also be accommodated by stopping at the office, giving us a call at 519.462.2697 or emailing ezt@ezt.ca.

Current Consultations

Facility Review - The Township of East Zorra-Tavistock has been examining options to address growing facility constraints.  Council is now meeting in the Oxford County Council Chambers so space at the Hickson Office can be repurposed until a long-term solution is found.

Previous Consultations:

Innerkip Traffic Safety - Oxford Road 33

Council passed resolution #17 at the August 5, 2015 Council meeting directing staff to investigate and report back on traffic calming measures.  The direction included staff investigation, consultation with the County and gathering of community input.

Staff are currently gathering traffic data and consulting with County Public Works officials. A mailing will be sent to residents in the area (approx. 150 m) requesting input.  Due to holidays and back-to-school activity, this mailing will be delivered the week of September 20th.  A survey has also be been setup to gather public feedback.  The survey will be open until September 30th, after which staff will compile the survey information along with other data collected.  It is anticipated a report will be submitted to Council in October.

The online version of the Survey can be completed by following this link.

If you wish to complete a "printed" version of the survey, please contact the office and we will ensure you receive a copy. These surveys will also be available at the Tavistock and Innerkip Libraries.

Staff will be meeting with Oxford County Public Works Department and will be reporting back to Council on what changes the County will be implementing.

Council Meeting Videos/Webcasting
